Mt. Erebus, Antarctica - Here I am on the side of Mt. Erebus monitoring the fumarole cloud rolling over the lip of the crater, about 200 m above me. It is a beautifully clear day, about 0 degree F., and there is almost no wind. |

Mt. Erebus, Antarctica - This day was sub-par with regard to cloud conditions near the crater rim but it was actually a bit warmer than the earlier day that was so clear. It might have been as balmy as 15 degrees F but it felt warmer because the wind had completely laid down. |
